Does Amy have any sort of workbook or study guide to go along with this series? It would such a great tool to have for use in a family or group setting. I am using these books to supplement my teenagers' religious education and would love to have a guide. Thank you, Denise

Pray for the recovery of my mom Dorothy Ashley, who is suffering from mental and spiritual disturbances that have started to occur within the past two weeks. Their is no explanation medically, as diagnosed by doctors. And, for all those who suffer mental and spiritual strain. For this we pray to the Lord.

Dear Chris:

I was surfing around to find blogs to tell about my new book (In Defense of Human Dignity), but after looking over the postings, I think you might want to interview the president of the Center for Economic and Social Justice, Dr. Norman Kurland, contact info at www.cesj.org. While not a Catholic (CESJ has an interfaith membership), the late Fr. John Miller of "Social Justice Review" said that Norm knows more about Catholic social teaching than many Catholics. He is the principal author of "Curing World Poverty" (1994) and "Capital Homesteading for Every Citizen" (2004), and has developed a solution to the current financial crisis called the "Homeowners' Equity Corporation" that you want to ask about; it is consistent with the natural law as well as sound economics and finance. Give him a call, but explain who you are as I see I can't cc. him on this comment.

Yours,
Michael D. Greaney, CPA, MBA

please pray for my boyfriend A. Please pray for him to let go of his addiction to pornography, and please pray that he will return to the Roman Catholic church as a firm believer. Also, please pray that he will quit smoking, and that he will get the motivation to do better in life and live his life to the fullest instead of depending on his family.

Please pray for my husband that he would be able to achieve even 1/2 of the sales target of his company this year. May all the quotations he is working be converted into sales. This would be a big help in paying our enormous financial debts. Thank you and God bless.

Please petition on my behalf that God will open the mind and heart of my beloved, so he can me through our Lord's eyes. Grant that God will give him the strength and courage to return to me and the conviction to commit, so together we can say "Yes" to God and and begin our lives together to live, work and love in God's Holy Name. Please grant that his return to me will be his first step in his return to the Faith. Through my offerings of the Holy Rosary in his name, please pray that my beloved will see and recognize the signs and messages God is so lovingly blessing him with. Please lead Him back to me, Dear Sacred Heart; my heart is so heavy without him. Thank you for your petitions on my behalf. I, too, will pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ, who are asking for intercessory prayers, that God will hear and grant their prayers.

Saint's are made, NOT born, therefore at some point the choice was made and based upon bad immoral information. Such as Sarah, was married to seven diiferent men, but Tobias believing, and trusting in the Lord firmly believed that Sarah would make and be a Heavenly Virturous wife and mother. Tobias being the JUST upright man, God condoned, ratified the choice that Tobias made, BUT their are consequences to that choice and trials, tribulations that must be dealt with. Tobias, again being the JUST, upright man of God he is, trusted in God that it will work. Tobias CONFORMED his will to that of God, thus cooperated with God's Will, Heavenly Graces.
We are called to be more Christ Like, consequences is that "we" must suffer what Christ Jesus has suffered. St. Mary Magdeline was no virgin, but Christ Jesus took on them sin's and 2000 years later Christ Jesus and St. Mary Magdeline are still being accused of having children, thus actually acting out them physical act's that would cause a female to get pregnant. Basically, Christ Jesus ACTED the OPPOSITE that those men did to commit adultry and fornication with St. Mary Magdeline. The outward understanding ( shallow understanding of who Christ Jesus really is, and what it is implied to be a strong moral chaste person is, and why He was born ) is that Christ Jesus and St. Mary Magdeline did them Pro-creative Act's, when in actuallity they did the complete opposite MAKING AMENDS satisfying God's Justice for them sin's that were committed.

I wonder how many have ever read the book "Marriage" by Dietrich von Hildebrand. It was 1st published in 1929 in German ,then was published in english in 1942. Now if one thinks The Theolgy of the Body is good and Christopher West take on it is good, I would suggest that you get "Marriage" the other two can not hold a candle to it. Sincerely, JMJ Sharon Stockard

This is amazing! What an awesome book. Now all people--celibate, married, single can better grasp the great gift of the marital embrace and thus more profoundly appreciate and educate on the subject when so necessary. It is so important for all people to understand the deep and beautiful reasons behind the Church's doctrine on marriage and the family. I believe that West's book will greatly help to inform all and further help people understand Paul VI's Humanae Vitae as well as JP II's TOB.

So these new found transcripts of John Paul II's theology of the body were ...well...too erotic for young ears...so now Christopher West will publish a book on it....as a Catholic contribution. Not a good idea! We have enough problems in the secular domain on this subject. We need more information on teaching the doctrine of the Catholic faith to make up for the insufficiencies of teaching this past 40 years. The song of songs describes Christ and His love for the Church but apparently according to Protestant interpretation...it is provocative erotic love between two people. How irreverent.

Dear Danielle, after reading your words pretty well daily on Joy Notes, it was so exciting to hear your voice on this program. I loved listening to all YOU had to say. However the interviewer was another matter. If he could hear himself constantly saying "awesome" surely he would cringe. I wish he could expand his vocabulary. never mind

Dear Chris,

I found your blog and I thought that you might be interested in the musical act called The Priests. What separates this classical trio from others is that they really are catholic priests, who have recently signed a recording contract with Sony BMG. They are currently recording an album of classic hymns from the Latin Mass but you can find them on their website at http://www.thepriests.com and even on youtube at www.youtube.com/thepriestsofficial. If you like what you hear it would be great if you could help them become better known to the public by mentioning them in one of your blog posts one day.

Thank you,

Jennifer Chin

I am very interested in obtaining a typed out version of the interview that you had on Catholic Spotlight #3. Here are the details:

April 23, 2007

Jim DuBos is the founder of Thy Kingdom Come and the initiator of the Catholic Mass Revealed project.

Please let me know if this is possible. There are many who are hard of hearing who would benefit so much from the material on your site.

Thank you very much,
Celeste

Chris,
That interview you did with Ann remains one of my favorite episodes of your show. The two of you had a great conversation and Ann's spirituality and her humor really shown through. I'm sad that I was never able to interview Ann, but am thankful that you did such a great job of it! My prayers go out to her family and for the repose of Ann's soul.

Lord Jesus, we wait at the foot of the cross. As we look into Your Heart pierced for us, our hearts are flooded with Your Love. Together with the Centurion, we proclaim, "Truly You are the Son of God! You are our Lord and Saviour!"

In the confidence of Your great love, we joyfully surrender our lives to You! As You offered Your life for us, we want to place our life at Your altar. Give us the grace to live for You and die for You as You lived and died for us.

please help me find a decent job and grace to remain in it for a long time.

Mr Cavins,

I am Teviah Gyorgak, an orthodox Jew in St Paul, MN Last night, while attending, a scheduled speech by Rep. John Kline, under the auspices of the Republican Jewish Coalition, a woman who is concerned with interfaith support for Israel and moral cause mentioned your name.

This year's elections cycle will come at the confluences of many events,
The energy of young, all too often unread and unschooled, voters who are being mesmerized by a glib speaker who rants about “Change” and offers improbable solutions to very complex and vital issues
The increased political pressure by the media and one party to seduce far too many citizens, who have been poorly educated in deductive let alone moral reasoning to open the floodgates on issues that fall under the rubric “Choice”, a euphemism for death by abortion, euthanasia, sexual promiscuity, homosexuality, and the destruction of persons character.
The increased call to destroy individual rights of property, responsibility, and character.

These forces must be confronted. And confronted via a coordinated campaign for moral responsibility, and moral reasoning. The media will not fairly cover any protests to the contrary.

Look, at the vitriol that was printed over His Holiness' recent speeches in America. Vitriol from the silly, “Marines must not salute the Pope.” to “the Vatican must be dismantled for its stand on overpopulation and refusal to allow for divorce or on demand abortion.

We need someone to coordinate all the people who believe in Ha Shem (G-d) and can recall the last time a glib speaker mesmerized a depressed population with offers of “miracle cures” to social, political, and economic problems.

To be blunt, I cannot see how any Jew, any Catholic, any Mormon, or any normal Protestant religion could vote for the presumptive Democrat this year. I do not think I am alone in that view. I am looking for suggestions on how to organized such political actions while maintaining a true course between Scylla(charges of racial bigotry) and Charybdis(destruction of religious tax exempt status).

I do not represent any group --- I am just an almost well-read Jew, who feels that he must act this year to defeat a moral evil.

NOLO VINCE A MALO SED VINCE IN BONO MALUM.

Thank you for your time.

Thanks for the tip. They assure me the site is going to be active any day now, so I put the link in anticipation rather than having to keep checking back and posting it later.

The link above will take you directly to where you can purchase ben and scott's book. It is still not shipping, but we expect it in the warehouse any day.

When I felt led to conversion to the Catholic Church ( and fought it every step of the way), it was Scott Hahn's tape that tipped the balance. He showed me that I was being given a supernatural gift, and must die to self. Conversion is ultmately a spiritual gift...however much intellect plays a part.

I am so grateful for that final push. God Bless Kimberley and Scott Hahn, prosper their apostolate and thank you, one million times. 17 happy years of growth in the one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, and God's wonderful healing love and gift of Himself in the Sacraments. The pearl of Great price indeed, and the security of the rock of Peter, as the waves and sea that surround it lash around...

Dr. Hahn,

Your conversion story touched my heart. I am a Catholic and live in Los Angeles, CA, and try to understand more about the Tradition, Magisterium, and the Holy Bible. I started to read the Bible just recently, and realize that there are so may Catholics who don't know much about the teachings of Catholic Church. Thank you for all that you've done. May the God our Father bless you & your family always, and may He guide your path in educating the Catholics, we ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amin.

Dear Dr. Hahn,
I love your conversion story. I, myself am a convert having grown up a baptist. I am still the only catholic in my family other than my daughter. I could certainly relate to the opposition you faced in becoming catholic. I still have some family members that resent my conversion. I have yet to complete educating them! :) I am so grateful for your focus on apologetics. Thank you for your devotion to educating others.

For the sick and dying, and God's healing hands upon those who are in most need of miraclous healing and for their families.
Please help me pray for my daughter Jessica, that God will give her the understanding and the knowledge, to make the right decisions about things going on in her life. And for my daughter Jennifer, for a safe delivery of her second child. For my daughter Jamie that God will lead her in the right direction about her life. And for God to continue to open the doors for a successful wedding for our son.

Dr. Hahn,
I was raised a devout Catholic and raised each of my four children Catholic. I am from a family of 12, 6 brothers and 5 sisters. Our Mom and Dad have since passed away. There is only 6 of us brothers and sisters who are still practicing Catholics in my family. Mom and Dad both were still living when my other 6 siblings changed to another religion. I know it hurt them to see this, but they never judged them. They still go to a church and have a love for God even though it is with another religion. I love my family and I pray that we will all be practicing Catholics again. My Dad once told us that he was born Catholic, he was raised Catholic and he would die Catholic, and he did. And I fell the same way too.
When I first read your conversion tape, it made me so proud to be a Catholic. I pray one day that my siblings could read or listen to your conversion. I really feel it would make them look at the Catholic religion in a different way.
Thank you so much

Chris, What you are doing with your podcasts is wonderful. It is a great way to evangelize. We have just begun to use this as a way to reach out to others, both Catholic and non-Catholic. I have been teaching an adult ed class at Church every Sunday evening and we began to capture them as podcasts and put them on the internet. We now have people all over the world tuning in and from the comments we get we seem to be helping many. Keep up the good work.

OMG! (OH MY GOODNESS :) ) i JUST FOUND YOUR POD CASTS FOR THE FIRST TIME! i LOVED IT! i AM A 4O YR OLD NEW GULP, grandma! YES I SAID GRANDMA, BECAUSE MY 23 YR OLD STEP-DAUGHTER JUST HAD HER FIRST BABY, (OUT OF WED LOCK UNFORTUNATLEY) WE HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH LOTS OF NEW ISSUES IN OUR HOME. sorry caps on I have 4 otherkids at home, 15, 12, 7 and 4 and are trying to raise them in the faith. Her delivery came at a wonderful time, just after the march for life earlier this month! While the kids know she is not married, we used it as an opportunity to discuss the fact that she did not have an abortion, and that this baby is now a part of our family. We have also praying daily for moms who are struggling with the choice they face if they are pregnant. Our daughter is in Florida, and we are in new york, but they have been affected nonetheless. my oldest especially, who is the most hurt by all the past decisions of her older sister. This brings me to my comment/question I guess. Any podcasts in the past or upcoming future that deal with raising children correctly with family examples all around that are bad examples for your kids? my own mom is living with her boyfriend (almost 20 yrs), my father is married to his new wife, but by a jsutice of the peace because she had been maried in the faith previously and my kids love them all. My brother and God father to 2 kids, will not go to church and is in my opinion angry and indifferent, my kid other god parents are non involved in their lives, and we had to ask the priest for suggestions of sponsors for our 9th grade daughter for her confirmation! I see this all the time in my circle and in an online community I belong too (cafe mom) What are we catholic practicing families supposed to do when your immediate world is so out of whack! I look forward to your reply.

I will be ordering That Catholic Show DVDs and am putting Rosary Army, SQPN, AND the Catholic Company in the various refernce files and places on my PC and other contact info.

This is great stuff. I was just searching Catholic online sources for gifts and ranges and types of products handled (crosses and pendants; crucifixes; Bibles and references; etc.).

Great apostolates and sources. Congrats to the Catholic Company for your business and outreach to help promote all these sources. I've just retired and am working in volunteer efforts to help spread the good news (Catholic evangelization) and our pro-life causes, and since I just moved from the Northwest Pacific to Nebrasak (where five of my six children and several grandkids are), I'm making new connections.

God bless you all, and we'll no doubt be in touch and perhaps meet in the future. -- Jack Odgaard (Diocese of Lincoln)

Hello Chris. I invite you to take a look at my new Threshold Bible Study series. It is a thematic Bible Study for Catholics that combines traditional Bible study with the lectio divina method. Take a look at the website to see lots of endorsements by Catholic bishops, pastoral leaders and biblical scholars.

Dear Sir: I wanted to ask you if you would consider interviewing Tom Monaghan on a future Podcast. He is the former CEO and Owner of Domino's Pizza Company and is now the major force behind the creation of Ave Maria University in Southwest Florida. He is someone who could give some insight into what it means to be a Catholic and have a business. He could talk about Ave Maria University and how he applies his business success experience to making this project a success for the Catholic faithful. I enjoy your Podcast show. Craig Horton

Hi, Chris. I just discovered your site and appreciate what you're doing. When you have a chance, I hope you'll check out my site for Catholic Poets & Writers. I've been a freelance and assignment writer for the Christian markets for over 30 years and, for over 20 years, have worked with other poets and writers through correspondence courses, workshops, and critiques. After joining the Church in 2000, I felt there just weren't enough helps for Catholic poets & writers, but I had too many writing projects to do anything about it until this year. At present, I have how-to's on researching, writing, and revising fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Those articles are free, of course, but for fees below the industry standard, I also offer critiques to provide one-on-one help to writers/poets who want professional feedback on their poems or manuscripts. My site has more information, but if you have questions, please let me know. Thanks. God bless - Mary

Loved the interview with Lisa from CatholicMom.com She is such an inspiration to all on stepping out with our Faith and what one person can accomplish with God and Our Blessed Mother. I met Lisa over the internet when she ordered my daughter, Angelina's CD. When she saw our address she asked if in fact we lived in that certain area. When I told yes, she was amazed, we live just down the street from her Father and Mother and Sister. My husband actually golfs with her dad. What a small world. I've come to know Lisa and her family and what a special faithfilled family they are. God bless and thank you for bringing such good programming to the Internet. Maria

I'm hearing a lot of priest and lay people teaching adult RCIA are telling things like there are reasons that they can do artificial means to use or say it is up to the pearsons them self. Also said the Pope is
allowing sisters ministry in other countries that they could be in danger of rape. the story about the nuns I heard on the Catholic Radio.
I don't remember the program or who was the speaker.
Can you explain this to me because this is not what I read in the encyclicals that I have read.
thank you, Geri O'Malley

Chris,
Although I'm neither a hunter nor a fisherman, I really enjoyed this show. I agree that being out in nature can be a very spiritual experience. Thanks for a great episode! Lisa

[...] A few weeks ago I was on Catholic Spotlight being interviewed by the host Chris Cash for the Great Adventure Bible study, Adventures in Revelation. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Catholic Spotlight, it is a digital media program that is dedicated to bringing some of the best Catholic authors and speakers to a larger audience via the technology of the podcast. After the interview for the study on Revelation, I received a call from the host informing me that a very intuitive listener, with next year’s liturgical Gospel readings in mind, was interested in hearing more about Adventures in Matthew. And, better yet, the host wanted to tie Adventures in Exodus, our latest study, and an interview with one of today’s most exciting Biblical scholars, Dr. Tim Gray together. So without hesitation I jumped at the chance to not only share the fruits that come from Adventures in Matthew, but to share the mic with my good friend and colleague, Dr. Gray. If you would like to hear the interview, simply click here.
Thank you for your honest assessment of my book. I am sorry that I have not used logic and that I glossed over the "Big" issues.

Each family must decide for themselves.

...

I'm thinking.

What part of that isn't logical?
